Dr. Rebecca Spencer

Baby and Toddler Sleep Essentials

Dr. Spencer is a highly sought-out leading expert on the relationship between sleep, memory and learning. Her research examines sleep’s function across the lifespan. In particular, her research points to changes in sleep with development and aging and how these changes influence waking cognitive function. She has appeared in publications ranging from the New York Times to PBS, the BBC, Netflix and Glamour magazine.

She leads the Somneurolab at UMass Amherst, where her research team uses a variety of techniques to explore how the brain operates during sleep and how this processing affects cognition.

Dr. Julia Harper

Baby Brain Development Essentials

Dr. Julia Harper is trained as an occupational therapist at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York, and later earned her Ph.D in Psychology from Capella University in Minneapolis. She has supplemented her degrees with multiple Master Coaching certifications, and is also a speaker, writer and a mom of two.

In 2008, she founded Therapeeds, a center that focuses on using pioneering methods, and where she has created several intensive intervention programs like H.O.P.E and W.A.Y to treat both children and their parents. Dr. Harper's team has helped thousands of children worldwide.
